Family policies
How classes, the deck and the calendar work for families.
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
In the pool, and watching
An instructor is in the water or on the step beside every swimmer. A parent or guardian stays at the pool during every class and watches from the bench or the deck.
What to wear and bring
Swim shirts are welcome in every class. Hair tied back, a swim cap in the color of the level, goggles if your swimmer likes them, and a towel for afterward.
Absences and late arrival
Please arrive ten minutes early so your swimmer can rinse and sign in. If your swimmer will miss a class, send us a message and we will find a make-up class at the same level.
When to keep your child home
Please keep your swimmer home with a fever, a stomach illness or a cough that is getting worse, and tell us so we can offer a make-up class.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close the pool for holidays and for weather that makes the deck unsuitable. We text families when that happens, and a missed class is made up in the same session.
Leaving the program
We ask for notice before the next monthly billing date. Tell us at the front desk or by message, and we will confirm in writing.
Screens and phones
Please keep phones away from the water's edge, and take calls on the deck or in the lobby.
Something we didn't cover?
Ask the front desk, in English or in Spanish.
